Today during lunch (yeah, I cooked again ), I watched TV and found a channel, on which they showed Quake 3 matches. They were moderated like real sport events including interviews between the different matches. Really strange…in Germany politicians and other people, who think that everyone else wants to hear their opinion, are discussing whether these so-called “killer games” should be forbidden and in other countries they are televised publicly.

After studying a test of Stiftung Warentest, I bought a new digital camera today. It is a Canon Digital Ixus 850 IS with 7 megapixels; pretty fast and the pictures look very good so far. I bought the camera from this guy (You always have to test the stuff you wanna buy… ):

Being in a good mood after my acquisition, I went to a Chinese grocery store to buy some food as well as dish liquid and dish towels. Well, believe me…it never took me so long to buy such little stuff. I rarely found products, on which at least one or two English words were printed. At home it turned out that I had the right touch. Except the dish towels, which are more normal cleaning clothes, everything seems to be, what I expected it to be. Tai hao le! (Perfect!)

This evening, I went to a Chinese restaurant nearby. It was the first time getting Chinese food without help from people who are able to speak Chinese. But, I definitely made a good guess/choice. Unfortunately it was a lot too much, although it only cost 4.50€ in total.

To test the video functionality of the new camera I made a short video showing the view of my bedroom on Pudong. The camera’s picture quality in darker environment does not seem to be so good but one cannot have everything, right?
